I appreciate your interest in commissioning me to create a beautiful painting or drawing for you. My goal is to work closely with you to produce a unique, personalized portrait that you and your family will cherish for years to come.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

I am honored to be commissioned to paint your loved ones' portraits and am committed to providing you with a portrait that will exceed your greatest expectations. I take my work very seriously and treat each subject with the utmost respect, beautifully capturing their essence.

I welcome your feedback and collaborate with you throughout the creative process—I want you to love your portrait! I put my heart and soul into your project, incorporating your personal preferences and tastes into my work. I email you as your portrait is being created so that you can view the work in progress and give me your input. It’s not a finished work until you are completely thrilled with your commission! The process is fun, and clients enjoy working with me on their projects.

It all starts with providing me with a reference photo that you love. If the subjects for your commission are in different photos, I am frequently able to combine the different images and paint the subjects into one portrait. You are encouraged to provide me with additional photos of your subjects or environment so I have more reference information. If you have a concept or color scheme in mind for your painting, please inform me, as it will help me create the portrait of your dreams!

Should you need updated photos, you are welcome to schedule a photo session with me for an additional charge, either at Mandalay Beach in Oxnard, CA, or at the location of your choice. Fees vary, depending on time and distance; please contact me for more details. You will view the photos with me immediately following the photo session and we will plan the design of your portrait together.

SCHEDULING AND QUOTES

Each commission is a one-of-a-kind personalized creation requiring a particular amount of time to complete. Please contact me to discuss what you have in mind for your painting or drawing. I will figure out the best way to provide you with a portrait you will love and give you a quote based on your desires and situation. I want you to have a portrait that you and your family will treasure for generations to come.

Upon acceptance of your quote, a deposit of 25% is required to be placed on the schedule, with 25% due upon commencement of your portrait. The balance is due upon completion. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. If your portrait is a surprise gift that you plan to present at a special occasion, please contact me to make special scheduling arrangements.

Your painting commission includes a portrait printed on fine art watercolor paper of any size you wish up to 30"x 40". Portraits on canvas up to 40" x 60" are available for an additional charge.

Your drawing commission may be in sepia or black & white, and includes a portrait printed on fine art watercolor paper of any size you wish, up to 30" x 40".

Additional hand-signed prints of paintings or drawings may be ordered in the same or different sizes. These are great for your office, and make wonderful gifts that others will adore. Greeting cards and custom framing are also available. Please contact me for information.
